I only had a couple of blow heaters & it got down to -8°C some nights in my bedroom. I suffered hypothermia symptoms regularly. Before this winter, I bought oil filled radiators. They are space heaters & have made a real difference. I have left them on low overnight when it has been minus figures. None of this makes any difference to the people suffering from this snow storm, though, because they have no power to run heaters & they would not be able to burn wood in the snow.
