I understand the need to expand methods of food production for the sake sustainability or food security. On the other hand I wonder how environmentally friendly or ethically sound these plant or lab based products would be when industrialization is applied. For instance, would emissions be higher or lower for a plant based, meat substitute factory and it's fields compared to a cattle farm and a slaughterhouse? Is there a real benefit there? Bees constantly produce honey because it is taken by other animals, they will produce honey until the hive becomes 'honey-logged' this means there are no spaces in the hive for the queen to lay her eggs and the hive eventually dies By harvesting honey the hive continues to thrive . and the bees pollinate more flowers as the gather nectar to produce more honey.
