On the issue of the U.S. Supreme Court, Warren also brought up abortion. She admitted that abortion activists have relied on the high court for decades to protect abortion on demand, but now that there is a strong conservative majority, Roe v. Wade may be a thing of the past. Like Biden, she said she would like to see Congress “protect the rule of Roe” by codifying it into federal law. Doing so could mean the killing of unborn babies for any reason up to birth would remain legal throughout the U.S. for many more years.
